Robert Royal’s tenure with the Cleveland Browns was nothing to write home about. That is why Cleveland released the veteran before the NFL lockout was finalized in April. However, Royal has officially gone public this week as the former Brown stated that he “hopes to play with the New Orleans Saints but I am open to going other places.”
Throughout his time with the Browns, Royal appeared in 28 games but only caught 16 passes and one touchdown. Cleveland has since replaced Royal by drafting TE Jordan Cameron in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
