Peyton Hillis One Step Closer To Becoming Madden 2012 Cover Athlete

The Cleveland Browns have had a complete overhaul of the franchise since Mike Holmgren and Tom Heckert took over before the 2010 season and Peyton Hillis is continuing to show that he has been the most valuable addition to the entire organization.
Hillis has officially advanced to the third round of the Madden 2012 NFL video game cover vote competition, defeating Mike Goodsen of the Carolina Panthers and Matt Ryan of the Atlanta Falcons. Hillis’ next challenge rests with Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs and the national media is beginning to recognize the power that the Browns fans can have on the outcome.
Fans flocked in the thousands to support Hillis as he squeaked by Matt Ryan in a 51%-49% final vote. Charles did the same as he defeated Maurice Jones-Drew by the same margin.
If Peyton Hillis does in fact win the cover, it may be one of the more proud moments for Browns fans over since the team returned in 1999. Cleveland unfortunately gets lost in the grand scheme of the NFL and Hillis not only has a chance to showcase his ability to the world but his team and his city along with him.
