Tiki Barber has officially turned in his required papers to come out of retirement for the upcoming NFL season.
The Cleveland Browns have been involved in almost every feasable rumor during this off season but it seems as if the thought of Barber is one that will not be heard by the team’s front office.
Message boards and articles all over the internet immediately eliminate any thought of Barber coming to the Browns and it is for good reason.
Cleveland is currently in good position with their runners as Peyton Hillis had a career year last season and Mike Bell filled in nicely after Jerome Harrison was shipped to Philadelphia. Monterio Hardesty is also a forgotten factor in the running game after he went down with injury early in the pre-season. Hardesty had over 1,100 yards rushing during his senior year at Tennesse but never quite got the chance to show his ability at the pro level.
Barber may very well have some interested teams whenever it comes time for him to return to the field but it doesn’t look like he will be wearing the orange and brown anytime soon.
